Vineet is the Co-founder & Chairman of Intellecap. In a career spanning two decades, Vineet’s areas of interest have included early-stage venture capital, microenterprises, microfinance investments, incubations. He also chairs the Board of Villgro, an incubating and funding platform, and IntelleGrow, an Intellecap subsidiary, which provides venture debt services to impact enterprises. He serves on the Board of the WISH Foundation and is an advisor to the Tibetan Entrepreneurship Development Initiative.
Vineet Co-founded Intellecap in 2002 with the idea to harness intellectual capital for development. Since then, Intellecap has grown to become a unique development advisory firm providing a full spectrum of services for social enterprises and businesses focused on the low-income population. Vineet has driven pioneering initiatives such India’s first impact angel network (I3N) and one of the foremost convening platforms for global inclusive development discourses (Sankalp Forum). Vineet is also a frequent speaker at significant national and global events.
Vineet is also the Founder & Managing Director of Aavishkaar, providing leadership to the team that advises US $ 200 Million (INR 1200 crore) of capital deployment in India, South and South East Asia in the impact space. He served on the International Development Working Group of the G8 Task Force on Impact Investing in 2014, and has - over the years - received numerous awards including the G-20 SME Finance Award in South Korea, UNDP-IBLF World Business Award in New York and Lemelson Award for Innovation in Finance at IIT Madras in India. He has an Ashoka Fellowship and an honorary membership of the XLRI Alumni Association. A few recent honours for the group has been the Porter Prize 2016 Awards for “Enabling Social Progress” and Aavishkaar winning the “Active Impact Investor” Award 2016 from VC Circle, India.
